The inherent flaw to new year’s resolutions

I have a goal in mind. It’s quite important to me, and I know it’ll change my life if I consistently do it. I just know it. But, I’ll start after new years day…

And that’s how the seeds of failure are sown.

When you change your goals to fit your environment, you give away your personal power. For it is that personal power that enables you to affect change.

Without it, you’re a sailboat without a destination. Therefore, drifting in any direction will do.

If you have a goal, start it as soon as you can. Don’t wait until the wind blows just right, or the sun shines bright enough, or you’re feeling inspired.

Start on December 2, 7, 15, or 30. Let no arbitrary, human constructed date determine your fate.

When you change your environment to fit your goal, you maintain your personal power. No longer are you subject to the circumstances, for that breeds excuses, not results.
