As I am picking back up some of my creative habits, I find myself paralyzed often times. I’m afraid to start because I know my work is going to be shitty and embarrassing.
But you know what, it’s part of the process. And the faster I embrace it, the faster I can actually make some progress. I’ve got two choices: keep on waiting until I’m ready and perfect or start hauling ass now and create mastery.
I’m reminded to choose progress over perfection. And there’s a video I view every now and then when I need to remind myself.
It’s a video by Ira Glass. You might have heard him on popular podcasts like This American Life.
